Donation Disclaimer
House of Hope Shelter is a registered nonprofit corporation in the State of Oregon and is currently in the process of applying for federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service. At this time, donations may not be tax-deductible.
Once tax-exempt status is approved, donations may be retroactively deductible to the date of incorporation, but this is not guaranteed. We encourage donors to consult with their tax advisor regarding the deductibility of their contribution.
We are deeply grateful for your support during this critical startup phase. Your generosity helps us build a safe haven for animals and their people.
Why give?
-
✽
Assist in covering costs for temporary animal housing. In times of overflow or emergency, we may need to rent space or board animals externally. These donations ensure no animal is turned away for lack of room.
-
✽
Support trauma-informed volunteer training. Funds help develop and deliver training that prepares volunteers to work compassionately with survivors and animals experiencing stress or fear. This improves outcomes and safety.
-
✽
Provide emergency transport for rescued animals. Some rescues arrive after hours or from remote areas. Your gift can support fuel, carriers, and staff or volunteer travel to reach animals in need.
-
✽
Stock food and care supplies for multiple species. Donations ensure consistent access to species-appropriate food, hay, litter, and grooming supplies. Proper nutrition is key to recovery and long-term health.
-
✽
Fund basic medical care for shelter animals. This includes wellness checks, medications, flea and tick prevention, and treatment of minor illnesses. Early intervention can prevent suffering and costly emergencies.
-
✽
Support utilities and facility upkeep. Funds help cover water, electricity, and general maintenance needed to keep our shelter clean, safe, and running smoothly. Reliable utilities are essential for climate control and sanitation.
